National Director, HealthySteps, a program of ZERO TO THREE
Rahil D. Briggs, PsyD, is an award-winning clinical child psychologist, educator, and advocate. As National Director of HealthySteps, a program of the leading early childhood nonprofit ZERO TO THREE, she oversees a national effort to help babies, toddlers and their families thrive from the very start of life. In that role, she has scaled HealthySteps to more than 400 sites nationwide, currently reaching over half a million children and their families—and growing. Early in her career, at Montefiore Health System in the Bronx, Dr. Briggs founded a large integrated pediatric behavioral health program (recognized with the 2018 Health Care Delivery Award from the Academic Pediatric Association) and continues to shape the future of children's behavioral health as a clinical professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her innovative work over the past two decades has helped redefine how health systems support young children's behavioral health and development during the most critical years of life. Dr. Briggs is the editor of Integrated Early Childhood Behavioral Health in Primary Care, published by Springer (2016) and completed her undergraduate work at Duke University, magna cum laude, and her doctoral work at New York University.
